I am using the middle picture of Olivia for Slow Shutter speed. I used a shutter speed of 1.2 to purposely blur the action of Olivia throwing her hands up in the air I used an ISO 800 and WB setting of Fluorescent lighting Her hands show the blur as well as her jacket. This is because the only part moving was her arms and hands when I was taking the picture I was close up to Olivia, maybe 1 foot away and also pointing the camera straight at her from infant to capture this photo. Her arms created texture in the photo because of the jean jacket as well as shape from around her head. |

For fast shutter speed Im using the middle picture. I used a shutter speed of 1/6th I used an ISO of 3200 and a WB of fluorescent I froze Olivia flipping her hair backwards to get this shot. I was straight on infant of Olivia and I was maybe a few feet away from her. I used the negative space to increase the strength of the photo, I made sure she was the center of the photo and made her sweatshirt the eye catcher of the photo. |

Answers:
I selected the 5th picture with the telephone and clock I had my camera set to F/22 to get a shallow depth of field. I had an ISO of 1600 and a White Balance setting of Fluorescent. I picked the 1st picture that contains the teacup and flowers I set my camera to F/5.6. I used an ISO of 1600 and a White Balance of fluorescent. I think that the Telephone picture is better because of the way I centered the photo, and because it is more interesting for the eye. You'd want to use a shallow depth if field so that you can focus on the one center point of the picture, instead of focusing on the whole picture, which can be distracting. If you were taking pictures of a scenery, or pictures of one person with a simple background would best fit with large depth of field. |
